Factory fabrication is common for very flexible materials such as polypropylene, and with one of the largest fabrication facilities in the world we can provide rolls of product to almost any size with the only limitation being lifting equipment available on-site to deploy the materials.
Our ability to manufacture such large panels allows Permathene to deliver complete liners to remote areas where on-site welding becomes expensive or prohibitive, as in the case of many agricultural projects where ground can be soft and boggy. These can be provided in roll form or palletised, according to customer preference, machinery available, etc.

HDPE is produced on state-of-the-art 3 layer extruders to 7.0 m and 8.0 m wide rolls to ISO 9001. The product is available in smooth ranging in thickness from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm, and textured ranging in thickness from 1 mm to 2.5 mm. The material is manufactured to strict specifications with all testing in accordance with ASTM and GSI standards.
Conforms to unstable ground retaining high tensile strength and chemical resistance.
Linear Low Density Polyethylene is designed for containment applications which demand exceptional flexibility while still maintaining a high chemical resistance and high mechanical strength.
Liquid Boot® is a two component spray applied system designed specifically to quickly and permanently seal contaminated sites prior to construction. These sites, typically referred to as Brownfield sites, include landfills, reclaimed land, converted petrol stations, dry cleaners, etc.
Liquid Boot seals and protects against potential exposure from gases including methane and chemical contamination from industries such as chemical and petroleum production and storage.
Permaliner flexible polypropylene is a black geomembrane manufactured with optimum chemical and physical stability. Manufactured from polypropylene, Permaliner has excellent flexibility over a wide temperature range, maintaining resistance to tear, puncture and weld seam damage. The wide temperature range (- 40° C to 80° C) allows for many applications not suitable to other materials.
Syntex GCL is designed as a superior replacement to Compacted Clay Liners (CCL’s). Syntex GCL is a fully needle-punched composite which contains highest quality sodium bentonite between two layers of geotextile.
The purpose of the GCL is for the bentonite to swell when hydrated and form a natural hydraulic barrier equivalent to approximately 700 mm of compacted clay.
A waterproofing membrane manufactured by Permathene comprising a weave locked 550 d/tex polyester square mesh between two outer layers of 0.125mm LDPE polyethylene. All three component layers are heat laminated into a single composite membrane of 0.25 mm film thickness. Dampstop is colour coded black for the underside and orange to face upward for membrane identification and visual detection of site damage before concreting.
Dampstop is manufactured by Permathene in accordance with ISO 9001.
