DELTA-NP DRAINAGE SYSTEM
Structural parts of buildings in contact with the earth can be damaged by moisture from the outside, by penetrating water and also by hydrostatic pressure.
Solution to the problem:
- Delta NP Sub-base course/ vapour barrier for vertical installations. Very high flow rate, high compressive strength and low installation cost.
- Delta offers protection against rising damp in ground slabs and replaces traditional lean concrete sub-base slabs without compromising the load-bearing capacity of the sub-base.
- Delta creates a cavity control layer when placed between the reinforced concrete base and concrete floor surfaces in chemical storage areas allowing continuous monitoring to determine leakage of chemical containers. Drainage and seepage layers guarantee that they fulfill their function. They quickly remove the water that collects and prevent the build up of hydrostatic pressure.
In projects such as underground garages, and tunnels, a large amount of water has to be coped with during construction. Seepage layers ensure that the water is taken away at low pressure without obstructing construction work. To ensure that the load due to pressurized water is uniform on all surfaces in contact with the earth and to provide the rerouting of water-conducting strata, the ground water must be taken through suitable channels. Seepage layers control the flow around the building structure.
Delta dimpled sheeting is manufactured from environmentally friendly, long-lasting, and resistant special polyethylene. It provides a highly effective and efficient seepage and drainage layer in all areas of construction. It is pressure resistant, rot proof, and resistant to saline solutions, inorganic acids, alkalis, and liquids such as alcohols, organic acids, esters, ketones, and similar substances. Delta dimpled sheeting cannot be damaged or affected either by minerals, humic acid, or bacterial decomposition in the earth, nor can bacteria, fungi and microorganisms attack it.
In regard to both the soil and the groundwater the dimpled sheeting remains completely inert and does not give off any damaging or environmentally hazardous substances.
